Mouse - London Film Festival

The impact of losing a friend at a time in your life when you need them the most can scar you, even altering who you may become, but losing a child, that is irreplaceable. Mouse is an emotionally tender portrayal of what happens after someone who was your whole world leaves. With quietly heartbreaking performances from Sophie Okenedo and Katherine Mallen Kupferer, directed by Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson, Mouse is a story we may recognise but haven’t seen before.

After the sudden death of her best friend Callie, Minnie’s world is upturned and nothing feels the same again. At the same time Helen, Callie’s mother, is finding it hard to try and move ahead. The two end up forming a tentative complicated friendship stemming from their shared grief.
